In this topic, you will see how notifications are received for Approvals.
Steps:
The most common notification methods for a new Approval Request are:
My Transactions
Email Notifications from the UWB
My Group Transactions
Step 1In this first scenario, a new request has been assigned to you directly and the Transaction will appear on the My Transactions tab.
Step 2New Requests for Approval has a status of Submitted.
To filter only the Transactions with a Submitted status, click in the Status Filter field.
Step 3Remove all filters, except for Submitted.
In this example, click in the In Progress checkbox.
Step 4To save the changes, click the Apply button.
Step 5The Submitted filter is applied.
Look for Transactions that are assigned to you directly in the Assigned To location of the Transaction.
Step 6To access a Transaction, click on the applicable link.
In this example, click the Fifth Third Bank refinance of Town and C... link.
Step 7Click the Decisioning menu item.
Step 8From within the Decisioning location, a History event displays the Assignment to you. It also provides the individuals name that generated the Assignment.
Step 9Click the Home icon.
Step 10In the second scenario, based on User Preferences, an email may be received if a Transaction is assigned to you directly.
Step 11The email notification will state Transaction Assigned within the body of the email.
It provides the name of the individual that generated the Assignment in the UWB.
There is also a link that directs to the Transaction within the UWB.
Step 12In this example, click the 10007297 link.
Step 13The link directs to the Transaction within the UWB.
Click the Decisioning menu item.
Step 14From within the Decisioning location, a History event displays the Assignment to you. It also provides the individuals name that generated the Assignment.
Step 15Click the Home icon.
Step 16In the third scenario, you will assign a Transaction to yourself that is currently assigned to a Group that you are a member of.
Step 17Click the My Group Transactions tab.
Step 18New Requests for Approval has a status of Submitted.
To filter only the Transaction with a Submitted status, click in the Status Filter field.
Step 19Remove all filters, except for Submitted.
In this example, click in the In Progress checkbox.
Step 20To save the changes, click the Apply button.
Step 21The Submitted filter is applied.
Look for Transactions that are assigned to a Group. The name of the Group can be located in the Assigned To location of the Transaction.
NOTE: If you are a member of multiple groups, use the My Group(s) list to select a different Group.
Step 22To access a Transaction, click on the applicable link.
In this example, click the 70429875 link.
Step 23Click the Decisioning menu item.
Step 24Use the Decision list to assign the Transaction to yourself.
Click in the Decision field.
Step 25Click Submit from the list.
Step 26Click in the Assign To: field.
Step 27Click Self from the list.
Step 28Your name will auto populate in the Assign To Text field.
Click the Save Decision icon.
Step 29A History event reflects the Transaction is assigned to you. The Transaction will appear on your My Transactions tab on the Home page.
Click the Home icon.
Step 30This last scenario shows how an assignment can take place just by accessing the Transaction and using the Save icon!
If you performed an assignment in this manner accidentally, you can re-assign back to the appropriate Individual or Group based on the events in the Decisioning tab.
Step 31Click the My Group Transactions tab.
Step 32In this example, the Transaction 10007051 is currently assigned to a Group.
Step 33Click the 50039782 link.
Step 34No changes to the Transaction are made.
The action of saving the file from any location within the Transaction will automatically assign the Transaction to you.
Click the Save File Information icon.
Step 35A Confirmation window will ask if you want the Transaction assigned to you. Select Yes or No.
In this example, click the Yes button.
Step 36Click the Decisioning menu item.
Step 37The History shows the last entry as the automatic assignment.
NOTE: The Transaction can be re-assigned back to the original Individual or Group, if necessary.
Step 38Based on User Preferences, an email notification will be sent/received for the assignment.
