In this topic, you will see how to navigate in the UWB.
Steps:
This topic introduces the elements you see on the Home page when you enter the Underwriting Workbench (UWB).
Additional details for all of the elements are explained in the appropriate training topics.
Step 1The icon next to your name enables you to set your User Preferences for the UWB.
Click the User Preferences icon.
Step 2The User Preference page opens, which contains the Bio and Preferences tabs.
The Bio tab provides information about the user.
Step 3Click the Preferences tab.
Step 4The Preferences tab contains the My Transaction Notifications, Home Page Filters, and Signature Preference sections.
Step 5The My Transaction Notifications section provides a Notify me area where you can select settings for your Transactions.
You can select a system Alert, Email, both, or neither for various options.
Step 6The Home Page Filters section enables you to select which filters you would like to set as defaults for your Home page on the My Transactions, My Group Transactions, and My Collaborations pages.
Step 7The Signature Preference section allows for selecting from an available list of Font Types and the ability to edit the way your name displays your system Signature, which displays on the Approval form.
Step 8Click the Bookmarks icon.
Step 9Bookmarks in the UWB function much like Favorites in Internet Explorer.
The list of Content items you have Bookmarked display on this list for easy reference.
Step 10Click the My Transaction and Content Alerts icon.
Step 11The Transactions and Content Alerts icon allows you to see if you have any new Alerts. The number of Alerts displays next to the Transactions and Content Alerts icon.
Step 12Tabs at the top of the list of Alerts enable you to access Transactions Alerts or Content Alerts.
Step 13You can perform basic searches by typing in the Search field and clicking the Quick Search icon.
The basic Search defaults to search all Content.
Step 14You can click the Search icon to the left of the Search field and select what you want to search.
Click the Search icon.
Step 15You can search by:
• Content
• Transaction by Name
• Transaction by Address
• Transaction by File Number
Step 16If you want to refine your Search, you can select the Advanced link to the right of the Quick Search icon.
Click the Advanced link.
Step 17You can now add the following criteria to your Search:
• All of these words
• The exact phrase
• Any of these words
• None of these words

Step 18In addition to the Search tab, the Bookmarks and Subscriptions tabs are also available.
Click the Bookmarks tab.
Step 19The list of Content items you have bookmarked display on this tab for easy reference.
Step 20Click the Subscriptions tab.
Step 21The list of Content items you have added to your Subscriptions display on this tab for easy reference.
Step 22Click the Actions icon.
Step 23Based on your activity rights, a list of Actions display that you can perform in the UWB.
The Actions you see will be based on your role in the UWB.

Step 24Click the Contact Us icon.
Step 25The Contact Us page enables you to request assistance with the UWB.
Step 26In the Details section, select the Reason for contacting from the drop-down list, which includes:
Feedback
Problem
Request Access
Then enter a Description in the description field and use the Send Email button to forward the information.
Step 27Click the Training Modules icon.
Step 28A menu displays the list of available training.
Step 29Click the System Alerts icon.
Step 30System Alerts and announcements display on the Alerts page.
The Alerts found here are Alerts or announcements broadcast to all UWB users and could include information about system down time, upgrades, a new feature or functionality, etc.
Step 31Click in the Status Filter field.
Step 32The Status Filter provides the option to also display Transaction and Content Alerts in addition to System Alerts.
Step 33Click the Apply button to close the System Alerts Status Filter.
Step 34Click the Home icon.
Step 35The Home page displays three tabs across the top.
