In this topic, you will see how to reopen an approved, declined or cancelled transaction.
Steps:
An approved, declined or cancelled file can be reopened, as necessary for further consideration by anyone previously associated to a transaction.
Step 1From the My Transactions tab, view Transactions with status of Approved, Declined or Cancelled.
Click in the Status Filters field.
Step 2In this example, click the UnSelect all button.
Step 3Select the necessary Status.
In this example, click the Approved checkbox.
Step 4Click the Cancelled checkbox.
Step 5Click the Declined checkbox.
Step 6Click the Apply button.
Step 7All Transactions selected for the filter display. Access the Transaction that is being reopened.
In this example, click the 70420480 link.
Step 8On the File/Order page, files with a status of Approved, Declined or Cancelled display icons to Send Approval Forms, Reopen Transaction and Add Documents.
Step 9Click the Decisioning menu item.
Step 10Reminder: When the status of a Transaction is Approved, Declined or Cancelled the File/Order and Decisioning pages do not allow for modification until the Transaction is reopened.
Step 11When the approval package requires delivery, select the Resend Approval Package icon.
Step 12In this example, the Transaction will be reopened.
Click the Reopen Transaction icon.
Step 13A Reason to Reopen is required.
Click in the Reasons to Reopen field.
Step 14In this example, enter "correct liability".
Step 15To continue reopening the Transaction, click the Yes button.
Step 16The History displays a Reopen decision with related information.
The Transaction Status is changed to In Progress.
The Decision field is once again availble.
Step 17Information within the file can now be modified.
Click File 70420480 menu item.
Step 18In this example, the Liability Amount will be modified.
Click the Edit Transaction icon.
Step 19Click in the Est. Total Liability field.
Step 20In this example, enter "14000000".
Step 21Click the Save button.
Step 22Click the Save File Information icon.
Step 23Click the Documents menu item.
Step 24When a Transaction is reopened, a HiLi Approval Package is created.
The system created Package does not contain any action icons.
Step 25To view the contents of the HiLi Approval Package, click the HiLi Approval Package for 10000640 dated... link.
Step 26Click the Open link.
Step 27The content displays as read only files.
Step 28Click the Close button.
Step 29Once a Transaction has been reopened and all corrections/updates have been made, a Final Decision will need to be applied to the transaction.

Step 30To receive Reopen Transaction alerts for Transactions you are associated with, turn notifications on within User Preferences.
Step 31Click the User Preferences icon.
Step 32Click the Preferences tab.
Step 33For the "When a transaction I am associated with is reopened" notification, click the Alert checkbox.
Step 34To receive an email alert, click the Email checkbox.
Step 35Click the Save Preferences icon.
